The PBal is adjusted by turning the associated knob on the regulator. If PBal is set to 'zero', but the LCD display says otherwise, then first check to see if air is coming out from the POut fitting. The most direct method of doing so is to place the POut tubing into a beaker of H20 to see if bubbles are formed. If no bubbles occur when no pressure iis applied to POut, then the unit is operating properly and it is likely that the LCD display needs adjusting. Use a small flathead screwdriver to adjust the trim-pot on the internal printed circuit board (PCB). See below for Instructions.
LCD adjustment procedure:
- Open the unit.
- Power the unit and turn it on.
- Set the "Pressure Meter Source" knob pointer to its 6 o'clock position.
- Adjust the trim pot labled 'VR201' on the PCB, which is attached to the bottom of the inside of the unit, until the display reads 00.0 ± 0.1.
- Return the "Pressure Meter Source" knob pointer to its 12 o'clock position.
- Verify that the LCD display reads 00.0 ± 00.1. If not, then repeat steps 3-5.
- Switch the power off and close the unit.
